applications were submitted for the Sixth Competition by the Foundation for Support to Innovative Entrepreneurship.

This is four times more than the number of applications received last year.

Beginning today, a committee overseeing the competition will begin reviewing applications and by March 30 will determine the winners. Winners will each receive support ranging from 150,000 to 500,000 roubles to develop their business ideas.

16 HSE University Students Win Student Start-Up Competition

The results of the first round of the Student Start-Up Competition were announced on July 5. The expert jury selected 650 winners from 2,300 submissions. Among the winners were 16 HSE University students, who will each receive 1 million roubles to develop their business projects.

HSE Students and Alumna Awarded S&T Grants

On February 8, the winners of the UMNIK competition were announced. The programme, run by the Small S&T Enterprises Assistance Fund, promotes young researchers’ innovation projects. Two HSE students and one HSE alumna will receive grants of 500,000 rubles to carry out research and further develop their S&T projects.
