4100

assignments from HSE online courses published on the National Open Education Platform were analyzed by the HSE Centre for Psychometrics in eLearning in a month.

As a result of this analysis, the online courses’ authors and their teams received recommendations about how to simplify those tasks that are too complicated, make the simple ones more difficult, and to drop those assignments that cannot accommodate students being divided up according to the level of knowledge they receive. As a result, the authors will be able to carry out more precise student assessments in their online courses.

The Centre for Psychometrics in eLearning has been created as part of the HSE eLearning Office and celebrated its first year in June 2017. It is the first and still the only centre in Russia that specializes in psychometrics in online education. The Centre employs a young and active team of professionals in measurement tool development, quantitative research methods, and psychometric data analysis.
